This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made from Clan Mother Worldwide.
We offer:
- E-courses and digital products, including online courses, downloadable materials and other digital content; and
- In-person educational events, including courses, workshops, seminars, training days and other face-to-face educational sessions.
Please read the relevant section below before making a purchase or booking.
1. E-Courses & Digital Products
1.1 Immediate Access
Our e-courses and digital products are normally supplied digitally, with access provided immediately or shortly after purchase.
Where you choose to receive immediate access, you will be asked to expressly consent to the digital content being supplied during the statutory 14-day cancellation period and to acknowledge that, once supply of the digital content begins, you will lose your statutory right to cancel.
1.2 Change-of-Mind Refunds
Once you have given the required consent and acknowledgement and we have begun supplying your digital content, we do not normally provide refunds because you:
- change your mind;
- decide the course or product is no longer suitable for you;
- do not use or access the materials;
- do not complete the course; or
- no longer have sufficient time to participate.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
1.3 Before Digital Access Begins
If you are purchasing as a consumer and supply of the digital content has not yet begun, you may have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of entering into the contract.
Please contact ingrid@clanmotherworldwide.com. if you wish to exercise a statutory cancellation right.
1.4 Faulty or Misdescribed Digital Content
Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
Digital content supplied to consumers must meet the standards required by UK consumer law, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for its intended purpose and as described.
If you believe an e-course or digital product is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise does not comply with your statutory rights, please contact ingrid@clanmotherworldwide.com.
Where required by law, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair or replacement of the digital content, a price reduction or refund.
2. In-Person Educational Events
This section applies to our paid in-person educational courses, workshops, seminars, training sessions and other face-to-face educational events.
2.1 Your Right to Cancel
If you are purchasing as a consumer and book an in-person educational event online, by telephone or through another distance-selling method, you may have a statutory right to cancel your booking within 14 days of entering into the contract.
Where this statutory cancellation right applies, you may cancel within the applicable cancellation period and receive any refund to which you are legally entitled.
To cancel, please contact us at ingrid@clanmotherworldwide.com. and clearly state that you wish to cancel your booking.
If you ask us to begin providing services during the statutory cancellation period, different rules may apply, including payment for services already provided where permitted by law.
2.2 Cancellations After Any Applicable 14-Day Cancellation Period
Once any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, our standard event cancellation policy applies.
Unless different cancellation terms are clearly stated on the individual event booking page:
- More than 30 days before the event: 100% refund.
- 14–30 days before the event: 50% refund.
- Less than 14 days before the event: No refund.
These cancellation terms apply to voluntary cancellations and do not affect any statutory rights you may have.
2.3 Transferring Your Place
If you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where reasonably possible, we may allow you to:
- transfer your booking to another person; or
- transfer your booking to another suitable event or date.
Transfers are subject to availability and are at our discretion unless you have a legal right to a particular remedy.
We may request the details of the person attending in your place where necessary for registration, certification, venue, safety or administrative purposes.
2.4 Non-Attendance
If you fail to attend an event without cancelling your booking in accordance with this policy, you will not normally be entitled to a refund.
This includes circumstances where you arrive too late to participate in the event.
This does not affect any statutory rights or remedies that may apply in exceptional circumstances.
2.5 Cancellation by Us
Occasionally, we may need to cancel an event.
If we cancel an event and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will be entitled to a refund of the amount you paid to us for the cancelled event.
Where appropriate, we may first offer you the option of transferring your booking to another date or event.
2.6 Rescheduling or Changes to an Event
We may occasionally need to make reasonable changes to an event, including changes to:
- the date or time;
- the venue;
- the trainer, tutor or speaker;
- the programme or timetable; or
- other reasonable aspects of the event.
We will notify affected customers as soon as reasonably possible where there is a significant change.
If we make a material change that significantly affects the event you booked, we will provide any remedy required under applicable consumer law.
2.7 Travel and Accommodation
Unless expressly included in the price of your booking, you are responsible for arranging and paying for your own travel, accommodation and other expenses associated with attending an event.
We recommend that you consider refundable travel and accommodation arrangements and/or appropriate insurance.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur as a result of your attendance, cancellation or rescheduling of an event.
Nothing in this section excludes liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.
2.8 Conduct at In-Person Events
We aim to provide a safe, respectful and professional learning environment.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or require an attendee to leave where their behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, seriously disruptive or creates a risk to other attendees, our staff, tutors or the venue.
Where an attendee is reasonably refused admission or removed because of their conduct, they will not normally be entitled to a refund.
3. Refund Processing
Where you are entitled to a refund, we will normally refund the payment using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Where an e-course or digital product is refunded or cancelled, we may terminate your access to the relevant course, downloads, materials and associated digital content.
4. Duplicate Payments & Payment Errors
If you believe you have accidentally been charged more than once for the same product or booking, or there has been another payment error, please contact us at ingrid@clanmotherworldwide.com..
Where we confirm that an incorrect or duplicate payment has been taken, we will arrange an appropriate refund.
