In my recent appearance on the Sacred Travel Podcast speaking on the astrology of 2026, I happened to mention that this week’s Mars, Venus and Sun conjunction lines geodetically (these are the mundane astrological lines laid over the globe) were going through several places, including Venezuela. I stopped to highlight Venezuela, and I made a comment that may have seemed conspiratorial. I said that I had thought for a long time that the elite were using astrology as magic and that I wouldn’t be surprised if something went down in Venezuela this week, considering the tensions that were rising around oil.
Surprise, surprise… something went down!

Now, most astrologers will look at the events that are happening in the world right now and say that the planets have caused this to happen. But if we have free will, and if alchemy and magic work, then we can consider that perhaps this particular energy was/is being used to create a certain outcome.
As above, so below, as within so without, as below so above… that is the fullness of Hermes, quote from the Emerald Tablet. Everything is frequency and vibration. This truth originates in the cosmos, but the cosmos is also within you. We are fractals of the cosmos, we are fractals of God. Things don’t just happen to us; we also make them happen! Alchemy and magic involve paying attention to the planets and what they are doing, and then using their frequency and vibration to manifest or transcend.
This is good news. It means we can use our free will to transcend any difficulties present in our natal chart. If our Mars (our will) is challenged or if our Venus (our worth) needs strengthening, we can acknowledge those difficulties, learn from them and transcend. In fact, the alchemist worked with the planets and found times when this would be easier and sure to produce results – they called this The Great Work.
The bad news is that Alchemy can be used profanely. In the Myth of Osiris, the cosmic relationship of Mars and Venus and their descent to the underworld (behind the Sun) represents the time when this alchemy can occur, and magic can be brought about either on a sacred level or a profane one. Sex Magic uses sex and this energy as a way to manifest whatever we desire in the world. It was said that Alestair Crowley used this knowledge to create the Thoth tarot, and in it, you can find the steps to bring about that manifestation.
If we focus on alchemy and magic to manifest our desires in the manifest world, this is profane, as we are using the frequency and vibration to gain something. This is what I speculated that the elites are doing.
The highest form of alchemy and magic, however, involves transmuting ourselves, following cosmic law, and thereby creating cosmic balance within and cosmic peace. This was connected to the 42 laws of Ma’at in Egypt, and in Sumeria, the ME given to Inanna to administer – the ME are the elements that represent the foundations of civilization, culture, and societal order.
Throw away the crust, take the inner part, purge three times, by fire and by salt, which will be done easily if Saturn has seen his image in the mirror of Mars.’
Finally Philalethes adds : ‘And the Almighty sets his royal seal on the Work and adorns it specially therewith.’

So here I will distinguish the profane use of this energy and call it sex magic. The sacred use of this energy, I call Heiros Gamos, or the Sacred Marriage.
When we focus on the sacred marriage within, and in particular at this Mars, Venus, Sun conjunction in Capricorn, we end up creating and manifesting balanced relationships and a healthy internal structure, and the result of that is structures in our society that are healthy and balanced. The downfall of the Dark Age is an inside job!
I hope you will join Julia and me in our Mars Rose Activation this Thursday as we provide an initiation that is focused on the Sacred Marriage.
